sdg 3: good health and well-being

SDG3

In 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations as a new global sustainable development agenda for 2030. Our projects contribute to a number of these so-called SDGs, such as SDG 3: Good health and well-being.

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. "Health is essential for sustainable development", states the United Nations. Goal Three is about health and well-being for everyone from young to old.

Indoor air pollution is the fifth largest health risk in developing countries. Almost 4 million people die every year from exposure to smoke during cooking, which is more than malaria, AIDS and TB together.

The climate projects of FairClimateFund that focus on efficient cooking solutions not only reduce CO2 emissions, but also ensure a very strong reduction of smoke indoors, which results in an improved living environment for local households.
