On the 2nd and 3th of June Stockholm+50, an international meeting convened by the United Nations General Assembly will be held. FairClimateFund will speak at an event of the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance and the UNFCCC.
Stockholm+50 will take place five decades after the 1972 United Nations Conference on the Human Environment. The event will help leaders to achieve the urgent action needed to secure a better future for a healthy planet.
Stockholm+50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity
On the first day, the Foundation Development and Climate Alliance, together with UNFCCC, will organize the associated event Getting to Zero: The Potential of Carbon Markets to Support Development and Climate Action.
The event will showcase how avoiding and reducing GHG emissions can be successfully combined with compensation and also discuss the challenges for the voluntary carbon market against the background of the current state of Art. 6 negotiations. The event will be held online.
